Course Overview
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills. This is where you get to fine-tune your techniques and try out new activities under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. You'll complete five adventure dives that introduce you to different types of diving and help you become a better, more confident diver.
Prerequisites
- PADI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent)
- Minimum age: 12 years old (15 for Deep Adventure Dive)
- Good physical health and fitness
- Comfortable with basic diving skills
What You'll Learn
Advanced navigation techniques using compass and natural references
Deep diving procedures and safety (up to 30 meters)
Peak performance buoyancy for better control

Night diving skills and procedures

Will this course make me a better diver?
Absolutely! The Advanced course focuses on building confidence, improving skills, and exposing you to different diving environments and techniques.
Can I continue to specialty certifications after?
Yes! Each adventure dive counts as the first dive toward the corresponding specialty certification. It's a great way to explore before committing to a full specialty.
