What You'll Experience
Introduction & Safety Briefing
Learn about scuba equipment, basic safety guidelines, and what to expect during your dive. We'll answer all your questions and make sure you feel comfortable.
Shallow Water Practice
In waist-deep water, you'll practice breathing underwater, clearing your mask, and basic underwater movements. Take your time - there's no rush!
Your First Real Dive
Once you're comfortable, we'll descend to a maximum of 12 meters. Explore the underwater world, see colorful fish, and experience the magic of weightlessness!
Celebration & Certificate
After your dive, celebrate your achievement! You'll receive a Discover Scuba Diving certificate and can credit this experience toward your Open Water certification.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it safe for first-timers?
Absolutely! Discover Scuba Diving is specifically designed for beginners. You'll be under constant supervision by a PADI certified instructor, and we'll only go as deep as you're comfortable with. We start in shallow water where you can stand, and only progress when you're ready.
Do I need to know how to swim?
You should be comfortable in water, but you don't need to be an Olympic swimmer. Basic water comfort is important - you should be able to float and not panic in water. If you're unsure, contact us and we can discuss your specific situation.
What if I panic or want to stop?
No problem at all! You can stop at any time, no questions asked. Your instructor will teach you hand signals to communicate underwater, including the signal to ascend. Your comfort and safety are our top priorities - there's no pressure to continue if you're not enjoying it.
Can I get certified after this?
Yes! If you love the experience and want to continue, your DSD dive can count as credit toward your PADI Open Water Diver certification. You'll have already completed some of the required skills, so you can jump ahead in the course.
What about my ears?
We'll teach you how to equalize (clear) your ears as you descend, just like you do on an airplane. It's easy once you know how! We descend slowly and you can signal if you need to stop and equalize. If you have ear problems or a cold, it's best to reschedule.
Can I wear glasses or contacts?
Contacts work fine underwater! If you wear glasses, we have prescription masks available, or you can wear soft contact lenses. Just let us know your prescription when you book.
What's the maximum group size?
We keep groups small for safety and personalized attention - maximum 4 participants per instructor. This ensures everyone gets the support they need and can learn at their own pace.
What if the weather is bad?
Safety first! If conditions aren't suitable for diving, we'll reschedule your experience at no extra charge. We monitor weather and sea conditions closely and will contact you in advance if we need to reschedule.
